Twenty Past Midnight

Concept Album

'Twenty Past Midnight' is a mesmerising blend of spoken word and storytelling.  With each track, Samira invites listeners on a journey through the shadows and beyond, exploring the mysterious realms that visit us in our dreams, transporting us to landscapes that blur the lines between dreams and reality, and linger well after midnight.

what people are saying...after midnight

"Like chapters in a book, flowing seamlessly, this journey is gripping.  And we have come full circle, because when the story shines through, you know that the landscape and mixing and days of agony in the studio pay off, because it seems effortless to the listener, who can then fully immerse themselves in the story you are telling. So proud! Well done!! xxx" - Peter Alan Edwards

"It's really visceral. It's powerful"

"What a train ride! I imagine if Stephen King wrote music it would sound like this.

Absolutely brilliant piece, Samira!! Listening with headphones was an excellent suggestion. Thanks for the sneak peek. 🖤🖤🖤" - Jim Pindras

'OMG! The imagery around the blood on the floor was brutal" 😊 - Belinda Small

"OMG! Added to playlist! This is my first time hearing a spoken word albun, and it's absolutely superb from start to finish. The way you began with 'my love for horror began before I was born' set the perfect tone. 'Porcelain Doll' and 'The Raven' are my particular favourites, but I love them all.  From listening to one track into the next, I could feel and visualise the atmosphere, and it all just flowed with your storytelling.

Your creativity and talent just shines through. People often don't realise the effort and creativity it takes to put something like this together. Your vision and artistry are just beautiful, capturing the dark, moody atmosphere I love. It's a modern Stephen King tale set to music, it's just superb. I truly appreciate what you do and know how much work goes into it. Absolutely loved it, girl!! - Raquel Sleeman

"well done!! Love it" - Lorn Potter

"It's so good, but disturbing 😳 I'm listening for a second time now." - Belinda Small

"If Stephen King produced a musical, it would sound like this. Haunting music and words. Absolutely brilliant!" - Jim P
